Getting started

Connect your social accounts

Connect TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X, and Reddit to a brand so approved clips have somewhere to go: where to connect, what each plan opens, and reconnecting.

Do this first

Clips need a destination. Connect your accounts before the first analysis finishes and the first Moment you approve flows straight onto a schedule. Connecting never spends tokens, and you can always add or remove an account later.

A brand's Social accounts tab
One card per platform on the left: four connected, Reddit waiting for Connect. The selected platform's connection and posting setup fill the panel. Disconnect asks before it cancels anything.

Where to connect

Open a brand and choose the Social accounts tab. Pick a platform card and press Connect. This is the one place where connect, status, and disconnect live, and where the platform's posting setup sits underneath.

Connections use hosted sign-in: you sign in with the platform directly, and SonnetClip never sees your password. You can revoke access from the platform's own security settings at any time.

Platforms and plans

Basic publishes nowhere: it analyzes and lets you download finished clips. A platform outside your plan keeps its card, frosted, with the plan that opens it and an upgrade button on top. Connect appears the moment the plan does. Accounts connected before a plan change keep working.

One account per platform, per brand

A brand holds at most one account on each platform. To post the same clips to a second TikTok, create a second brand and connect the account there. See Create your first brand.

Reddit needs a subreddit

Every Reddit post from a brand goes to one subreddit. After connecting, type it in the Subreddit field on the Reddit card (LivestreamFail, r/LivestreamFail, and /r/LivestreamFail all work). Posts wait until a subreddit is set, and the Post page tells you when one is missing. Check the subreddit's rules on video posts first.

Statuses

  • Connected: ready to receive posts.
  • Needs reconnect: the platform expired its authorization. Scheduled sends on that account are held, not failed: the Post reads "Waiting for you to reconnect the account. It posts once you do." Press Reconnect and go through the same sign-in. You get a notification when this happens.
  • Not connected: nothing linked yet. Moments you approve still become Posts and park as Unpublished until you connect an account and publish them.

Disconnecting

Disconnect stops future publications to that account and cancels its scheduled posts. The confirmation tells you how many before you agree. Posts already published stay live on the platform, and the platform's posting setup is kept, so reconnecting later picks up where you left off.
